Round 4 - Pukekohe Raceway

Round 4 saw us back at our favourite track, the elusive 200kmh entry of Pukekohe. And with both cars race ready, we couldn't wait to get stuck into it. The competing drivers only saw two laps a tire at Pukekohe, but the Falken 615k+ gave us 3 runs a session giving us more track time to dial in the car and make sure I was comfortable entering the sweeper. With the help of an experienced spotter on our team this round, I managed to feel much more comfortable in my ability to drive with plenty of positive reinforcement.

Qualifying saw us at our strongest all weekend, and with a 81.5 score, we sat at 8th heading into battles day leaving us with a bye straight to top 16 battles.

Coming up against Chad McKenzie, both our chase and lead runs proved far stronger than Chad's, seeing us progress into top 8 against our good friend Fanga Dan Woolhouse for a spot in the top 4. After putting both cars door to door in an exhilarating chase and lead from both drivers, the judges couldn't come to an agreement and we were seen heading into an
OMT battle. With almost identical, picture perfect chase and leads from both drivers during the OMT, and a very long judging process the win went to Fanga but in my opinion could have gone either way.
